Mental Health & Entrepreneurs with Carolina Gutierrez
Hey there! Patty Dominguez here with episode 167 of the Positioning to Profit Podcast. I sure hope this finds you doing super well in your business and your life, on a personal level and all that. Today I have a very special guest, Catalina Gutierrez, a serial entrepreneur who’s been in the game for decades and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we’ll be having a very real and raw conversation about mental health and entrepreneurs.
Being an entrepreneur can often be seen as a glamorous and rewarding lifestyle. After all, who wouldn’t want to own their own business and make their own rules? But what most people don’t think about is the downside of being an entrepreneur. While there can be great rewards, the reality is that entrepreneurs face a higher risk for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress.
There are several ways to manage mental health issues when you’re an entrepreneur. First off, it’s important to recognize when you’re feeling overwhelmed or depressed. It’s also important to practice self-care by taking regular breaks from your work and engaging in activities you enjoy outside of your business pursuits. Additionally, it can be beneficial to reach out for help from family and friends or even professional counselors if necessary. Lastly, don’t forget to track your progress so you can see how far you’ve come in managing your mental health over time!
As an entrepreneur, it’s important to recognize that mental health issues are a real concern — one that needs attention and support from both within and outside the entrepreneurial community. By taking steps such as recognizing signs of distress early on, practicing self-care regularly, reaching out for help when needed, and tracking your progress over time — you can take control over your mental health as an entrepreneur! With these strategies in place and with support from those around you — there really is no limit to what you can achieve!
Tune in to hear the full conversation and learn how to prioritize mental wellness in your business.
